3/24 Copps Double Daze

There's not a whole lot going on at Copps this week for great deals. I'm just picking up a few items myself, so I'll share my list as well as a few other good deals I see. Visit Minnesota Coupon Adventure for a more complete list.

My List

  • Pepsi, 4/$10 (stock up)
  • Kellogg's/Keebler, $1.88 each when you buy 8 (I have three coupons for $1 off two boxes of cereal, however my cereal stock is HUGE right now. I also have a coupon for $1 off 2 Nutrigrain bars. I may look at getting PopTarts and crackers/cookies, but unfortunately don't have any coupons for those items. I do have a $1.50 coupon for the Clever Kids fruit snacks that I got from Vocalpoint if those are included in the sale.)
  • Hormel breakfast sausage, $0.78 w/ Yesteryear ad coupon
  • TreeTop apple juice, B2G1 - $1 off 2 printable
  • Campbell's soups, $1 each - $1 off 2 printable (doubled) = 2 for FREE
  • Lunchables subs, $1 - $1 MC = FREE
  • Roundy's bread, $1
  • Roundy's 5 qt. ice cream, $2.98 -SSC from last week
  • Roundy's 24 ct. purified water, $1.98 -SSC
  • Mars candy bars, $1.98 -SSC
  • Imperial spread, $0.38 -SSC

  • -$2.50 Personal Perks earned last week

Other deals

  • Chicken drumsticks or thighs, $0.98/lb.
  • Babybel cheese, $2.99 - $0.55 MC (doubled) = $1.89
  • Yoplait Delights, $2/4 - $1 printable (doubled) = FREE
  • Huggies Jumbo, $8.88 - $3 printable = $5.88

I didn't get a lot of feedback regarding my question last week, so I'll probably stick to a format like this, sharing my list and any other good deals I spot. It would take too much time to do the extensive list, and I reference Minnesota Coupon Adventure for that anyway, which you can do as well if you wish. Hope my posts continue to inspire you to use coupons and save lots!

3/17 Copps Double Daze

Hey, fellow Copps shoppers! Getting ready to post tomorrow's shopping list. I have a question for you though... I'm starting to have more of you following my list, so I'm wondering... Would you all like me to continue sharing my personal list before Weds? Or would you prefer that I list ALL possible coupon/sale deals and then post my own list w/ savings after I shop? Listing everything would be more helpful for everyone, but just take some more time on my part. So, let me know what you all would prefer. There are other sites out there that provide extensive lists, but no one in our area that I know of, so this could be a good direction to go. Anyway, please comment here, on facebook, or on my personal blog and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!!

This week there was an extra insert in the paper w/ some GREAT coupons, good this week AND next week. I'll note those coupons on my list with -SSC for Super Savings Coupon. Here's my plan for the week...

Buy 2 Suave professionals - $1 off 2 MC (doubled), 2 Suave Kids - $0.50 off 2 MC (doubled) = 4/$3.64. More savings if you use MC's for $0.50 off body wash, $0.75 off deodorant, $0.50 off lotion, and/or $0.50 off kids body wash.

I have yet to do the math and see if I can do two transactions. Hoping it will work out so that I can double 5 coupons for the cereal deal and another 5 w/ the dressing, milk and Suave products. I'll let you know how it all turns out. Happy shopping!

Money Saving Series

Money Saving Mom is running a great series this month called 31 Days to a Better Grocery Budget. To see all the posts so far click here. Today's tip is one of my all time favorites: buy ahead! (Or as I like to call it the pantry principle.)

3/10 Copps and Festival Shopping

Sorry I didn't get my Copps list posted in advance. It's been one of those weeks so far! I was scrambling to finish my list and print my online coupons just before bedtime last night. So, here's everything all at once.

At Copps today, I spent $24.65 for everything you see below. I saved $41.37 (63%) with over $15 in coupons. There are some great coupon/sale match ups today that I didn't even notice on my initial scan of the store ad. I'm glad I spent a little extra time looking them up online. I found an extensive list at Minnesota Coupon Adventure, so check that out if you need more help.

Here's the list...

  • Roundy's apple juice, 2 @ $0.99 = $1.98 (Just noticed I got charged $1.34 each! Will have to take this to customer service. Yes, I will do this to save on their $0.70 error!)
  • Cottage cheese, $0.88 w/ in ad coupon
  • Whole chicken, BOGO = 2/$7.06
  • Wish Bone dressing, BOGO = 2/$2.39 - $0.75 internet coupon = 2/$1.64
  • Roundy's 8oz. cheese, BOGO = 2/$2.09
  • Fresh Express salad, BOGO = 2/$1.69
  • 1/2 gallon Kemp's flavored milk, 2 @ 4/$5 = 2/$2.50
  • Yoplait Kids yogurt, 2/$4 - $1off2 internet coupon (doubled) = 2/$2
  • Ronzoni Smart Taste, 2 @ $1.09 each - $1off2 internet coupon (doubled) = 2/$0.18
  • Dreamfields pasta, $1.59 - $1 MC (doubled) = FREE plus $0.41 overage
  • Blue Bunny Ice Cream, $3 - $1 internet coupon (doubled) = $1.00
  • Mc Cain Potatoes, 2/$5 - $1 MC (doubled) - $0.75 MC = 2/$2.25
  • -$0.20 bag refund
  • 2 gallons milk @ $2.29 each - Free Milk coupon earned last week = 2/$2.29
  • -$1 off purchase earned last week

There were also some great deals at Festival Foods this week. I haven't posted my Festival shopping in a while as the deals there are usually not as impressive, but today I got everything below for $13.55, saving $16.96 (55%). Brian also stopped earlier in the week and picked up another $1 gallon of milk and two packages of chicken at $1/lb. totaling around $7 (not pictured).

Here's the list...

  • Pork roast, $1/lb. = $3.50 for 3.5 lb. roast
  • Tomatoes, $1/lb. = $1.39 for 1.39 lb.
  • No Yolks noodles, 3 @ $1 each - BOGO MC - $0.75 MC = 3/$1.25
  • Jolly Time popcorn, 2 @ $1 each = $2
  • Milk, $1 w/ in ad coupon
  • Butter, $1 w/ in ad coupon
  • Flavorite shredded cheese, 2 @ $1 w/ in ad coupon = $2
  • Baby carrots, $0.48 w/ Money Saver magazine coupon
  • Sara Lee Honey Wheat, $0.98 w/ Money Saver magazine coupon
  • -$0.05 bag refund

Overall grocery spending for this week was just over $45. Wish I could keep it that low every week! My freezers and pantry are reaching overflow capacity again, so I may need to give myself an Eat from Pantry challenge pretty soon. I'm going to try to slow down the shopping the next couple weeks, unless the deals are too great to miss of course. :-)
