Had a busy week last week - but was inspired by the deals going on and tried to carve out some time to get my coupons together and head to CVS at least - I woke up this am and realized I never made it by the time the deals ended Saturday and while checking in my purse for something I discovered $13 in ECB's that expired YESTERDAY!
I know you're "crying" with me - I was sure pouting this am and wanted to shed some real tears - that was THIRTEEN DOLLARS LOST! Very Sad!
Vivian - who plans to use the next batch that expires on June 24th before they expire!

You're not alone! I've done than more times than I care to admit which is more than one and less than ten. :) It does feel a bit like taking out an actual $13.00 and burning it when you throw those precious papers in the recycling.
I'll one up you - I ran to CVS on Saturday. About 15 minutes after arriving back home, something didn't feel right. I looked around and realized I'd left my coupon box in my cart. My heart stopped. :) Seriously. I've got coupons for about 100 in FREE things just sitting in there waiting for me to use them to get to a fast $25.00 at Copps for double coupons. Thankfully, they had it behind the counter when I went back. Whew!
I'm glad I'm not alone here and that would have been TERRIBLE to lose your coupon container -
I remembered also that I ran to Walgreens this past Monday with the express purpose of using up the $10 in RR I had in my wallet and I left without using them! I went back hours later hoping by chance I could get them applied to my receipt but I didn't have the goods and I would have had to have to goods - so I looked for $10 more in stuff to buy with no other coupons in hand -
the sad story continues Part 2 :(
I feel your pain . I have come across RR's that I gave to hubby to use then found then several weeks later when cleaning his bathroom. I have also done that one myself. I will shed some tears right along with you.
I think EVERY one of us have let ECBs expire at one time or another.
But there is HOPE!!! CVS will usually let you use recently expired ECBs. Don't call... GO to the store and find the manager. Ask the manager directly before you even get a cart!
Go as soon as you can after you realize they are expired (TODAY!). It's worth a try.
Both Kris K. and I have been able to use expired ECBs this way. I don't recommend doing it on a regular basis though! :)
Wendy, a couple years ago I lost my coupon box when it fell out of my van into the church parking lot. The snow plow driver found it and gave it to our pastor. But they still didn't know who it belonged to.
I put my name and cell number on it immediately after it was returned to me hoping that if it ever happened again a reunion would be more likely. (I, thankfully, have not had to test this strategy! Hope I never have to!)
Just last week I told my Coupon University "students" to make sure their name and number is in or on their coupon container somewhere for just that reason!
