BOGO Deal at St. Vincent De Paul's

St. Vincent De Paul is currently selling all of their long sleeved women's shirts and sweaters Buy One Get One Free!  This means you'll get two shirts or sweaters for either $2.00 or $3.00.  The racks are packed so the selection is great.  I saw lots of very "current" name brand shirts in small (teen) sizes, in addition to many for more mature shoppers (like me).  They didn't know how long they'd be running this sale.  I think they need to get some shirts off their hands.

Cheap Lightbulbs at CVS

Not sure if every CVS has this deal, but the CVS in Howard has some VERY cheap lightbulbs right now.  13 watt CFL bulbs were only .25!  I also found 2 packs of 3-way bulbs on clearance for $1.25 a box.  The clearanced bulbs were located in two places - on endcaps in the back of the store and in the lightbulb section.  Happy Shopping!

Pink Flamingo Festivities

The Pink Flamingo Softball Tournament is this weekend at Legion Park in DePere. It's a lot of fun! You're bound to see someone you know and the food is good (and cheap!). There is a 5K run on Saturday morning and a free concert on Saturday night.

Even if you don't go to the actual tournament you might want to go to the parade on Saturday morning. It is a short parade, made up of the tournament team floats, and they throw TONS of candy! Seriously, bring a bucket for each kid. The parade starts at 9am at East DePere High School and ends at Legion Park. You can sit anywhere along the parade route.

In addition to throwing candy, it is a tradition for the teams on the floats to have water fights with spectators. Kids, especially the boys, really enjoy this! Don't worry they will not (usually) fire unless fired upon. Just try and keep your candy dry. :)

Looking for Tips on "How to Keep it Organized"

Here is my burning question...

to those of you who have some kind of routine established for saving money, checking websites, clipping coupons, making lists, etc...I am wondering if you have a type of pattern or system you follow?

I have fliers, like CVS and Walgreens, plus my two coupon books, plus the extra monthly coupon book from Walgreens, I have the "master lists" from GBSavers or MoneySavingMom, I have notes with extra deals someone mentioned somewhere, I check websites online and print random coupons, sometimes they would "fit" in categories in the coupon box and other times they are for something entirely different like a restaurant or dept store coupon or a craft coupon...those come in big sheets and need to be cut out...

Then you have deadlines to meet for register rewards, ecbs, coupons, rebates, etc.

You sometimes have discs to cut out of cereal boxes or tokens, you save a variety of things to fill out rebates, get freebies, etc

Do you like to cut out your coupons with scissors or a rotary cutter?

Do you always shop on the same day, why do you shop on that day?

I'm just looking for some tips to see if I can get better at keeping all this "stuff" organized and to help me best use my time and energy while saving money!
