The pens do have a rebate on them. I bought three for 1.19 each, used the 1.00 off walgreens coupons (which took 3.00 off my total) and spent .57 for 3 packs. There was a rebate form on the back of each - buy 3 packs get $4.50 back! Almost a 4.00 moneymaker! And we are always running of pens around here. :)
