Eating out is a big budget buster. Just for fun, I put up a poll (to the left) asking what your top reasons are for eating out. Take a second to answer. When the poll ends I hope to get up a few posts to address the reasons people choose.
I'm with Erica on the "short on time" answer but also I find that I just want a break from cooking 365 days a year; and of course, Wendy's answer, "because it's fun" applies too.
We love to eat out for fun too! :) In fact, I always enjoy eating out MORE when it's just for fun and not because I'm being lazy and don't feel like cooking (then I feel guilty).
The gals at our Mothers of Multiples meeting said eating out was one of their biggest food budget busters. Thought we might be able to motivate them to make some menu changes if we knew why some families eat out so much.

Another option I'd select is "short on time".
We do it for fun. :)
